Lina Peertum is a filmmaker. Having worked on short films, documentaries and promos as a director, cinematographer, production sound mixer and sound designer.
Born in Mauritius and exposed to much diversity. Lina has been able to effortlessly navigate, through a wide variety of subjects and situations. Whether it is photography, film or sound designing, Lina embodies an almost palpable environment to her work. She draws inspiration from her exuberant action-packed life and travelling adventures. With a background in Fine Art, Graphic Communications and Art and Design. Her work reflects the elements of mix and multimedia arts. Presently, Lina is undertaking her MA in Film Production at Southampton Solent University.
As a production sound mixer and sound designer she worked on the award-winning short film PAWNS. The film was accepted in over nine film festivals, it won at the Los Angeles Film Awards and The Monthly Film Festival and nominated at the Southampton International Film Festival and Sacramento International Film Festival.
She has experience in recording, designing, editing and dubbing sound. Lina specialises in transforming sound into an almost tangible atmosphere, reflecting the moving images. Currently, Lina is a student member of The Association of Motion Picture Sound.: AMPS
